With Love, Kyle and Mauricio - The End

Updated: Oct 24, 2023

Kyle and Mauricio in the happier days

Another housewife heading to divorce court, as the news spread like wild fire yesterday, (July 3rd), Kyle and Mauricio end their 27 Year marriage.

My really good friend, A Girl in a Plant World, sent me a TikTok from People Magazine, claiming Kyle and Mauricio called it quits.

What the fuck?

I am so confused as to what is going on here. Did some spray the separation voodoo dust among the cast of any housewife?

In all seriousness, I think lots of bloggers and entertainment reporters will be speculating what could have separated a couple who seemed to have a very solid marriage.

Kyle and Mauricio met in 1994.

Previously, Kyle had been married to Guraish Aldjufrie, with whom both share their daughter, Farrah, who’s now 34 and working for The Agency.

When she met Mauricio, she had already been divorced and raising her daughter.

They married in 1996 and together raised three daughters, Alexia, Sophia and Portia, who is the youngest of the three girls.

In all of the years of watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there were never signs of distress in Kyle’s marriage. As a matter of fact, it seemed, with Dorit and PK as their besties, they all had a good time hanging out with each other while making snide comments about Erika, which were mostly true.

I won’t make any speculations that may be taken out of context, as this isn’t the point to this article. I just won’t lower myself, as most entertainment reporters seem to do, by taking sensitive situations out of context and making speculations, with no regard to people who may be going through a difficult time.

I think it’s important our use of critical thinking skills is more important than blurting out misinformation, and yes, this does include bloggers or any Youtube content creator. Granted, I am not perfect, but I make it a point not to assume anything.

For all we know, Kyle and Mauricio could have been just playing the part of a couple in a happy marriage and wasn’t ready to disclose they were just acting the part but not living the part. That’s not for us to judge.

Do I believe money could have been a factor? Perhaps…think about the empire Mauricio has built with The Agency. I’m sure that required a lot of time home. But, this isn’t news for any couple where one sacrificed their time away from family to give them a good home with a financially secured future.

The other factor, I know low level reporters will insinuate cheating scandals.

Obviously, there is no proof of that.

While there is a 50% to 60% success rate of marriages surviving – there’s still the other half, where couples will eventually see the end of their relationship.

No one will never understand why couples break up, unless the couple is forthcoming as to why they saw an end to their relationship, instead of seeking opportunities of rekindling what was lost.

No one relationship is perfect, and while Kyle may have the utmost respect for Mauricio as a husband and a father, perhaps the time spent together, in between the struggles and the financial wealth they have both gained, they felt their relationship has served its purpose, and now it’s time to move on.

I think it’s important to say, don’t believe everything you read, until you’ve heard it “from the horses mouth”.

Until then….Take care of You.
